The Cougars enter the matchup after losing 41-14 to the Liberty Flames in their last game on October 22. The Pirates’ last outing finished in a 34-13 win over the UCF Knights. Jaren Hall had 187 yards on 16-of-34 passing (47.1%) for the Cougs in that matchup against the Flames, with two touchdowns and no interceptions. He also added five carries for 24 yards. Christopher Brown Jr. ran for 26 yards on three carries (8.7 yards per carry). Holton Ahlers recorded 311 passing yards while going 30-for-36 with one touchdown and no interceptions for the Pirates against the Knights. He added five carries for 6 yards and one touchdown. Keaton Mitchell carried the ball 16 times for 105 yards and two touchdowns. He caught three passes for nine yards. C.J. Johnson collected 11 catches for 140 yards (on 13 targets), with one touchdown.
