NFL Week 8 opening betting lines, odds and spreads — Pickswise

Week 7 of the NFL season offered a thoroughly unappealing slate, with only 1 game between teams with winning records (barely) – as the 3-2 Tennessee Titans beat the 3-2-1 Indianapolis Colts in a predictably bad football game. There was some entertainment, however. A total of 76 points were mercifully scored on Thursday Night Football and Sunday Night Football between the Miami Dolphins and Pittsburgh Steelers went down to the wire. The New York Giants and Jacksonville Jaguars' outcome was in doubt until the last second and the last yard.

As for Week 8, its schedule is far more interesting. Primetime matchups include Lamar Jackson vs Tom Brady on Thursday (although the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are a disaster right now) and Aaron Rodgers vs Josh Allen on Sunday (but Rodgers' Green Bay Packers look almost as bad as the Bucs!). We also have plenty of big division-rivalry showdowns, including the San Francisco 49ers visiting the Los Angeles Rams.

Let's take a look at the early lines and some potential best bets to be made.
