The Carolina Hurricanes continue a road trip through Canada Monday night with a visit Vancouver, BC to take on the Vancouver Canucks. Carolina comes into one day 3-1-1 on the year following a 3-2 overtime loss to Calgary on Saturday. Antii Raanta took the loss for Carolina after posting a .906 save percentage following three goals on 32 shots in just over 64 minutes on the ice.

Offensively Carolina has been one of the better teams in the NHL through the first few games averaging 3.4 goals on 35.8 shots per game as a team. Andrei Svechnikov leads the way for the Carolina offense with eight points on the year to go along with a team high six goals on 18 shots. Sebastian Aho leads the team with five assists.

The Vancouver Canucks continue a homestand Monday night winless through their first six games following a 5-1 blowout loss to Buffalo Saturday night. Thatcher Demko continued to struggle in the net for Vancouver posting a .846 save percentage after allowing four goals on 26 shots in just under 64 minutes on the ice. Offensively Vancouver struggled as Connor Garland scored the only goal of the game in just over 16.5 minutes of game time.
