Damian Lillard led the team with 41 points, seven rebounds and three assists, Jusuf Nurkic added 20 points with 17 rebounds while Anfernee Simons chipped in with 16 points. As a team, the Trail Blazers shot just 43 percent from the field and 10 of 29 from the 3-point line as they trailed the Suns for most of the game until 7.2 seconds left in overtime where Simons nailed the clutch go-ahead basket.
Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Lakers will be looking to avoid a third straight defeat after coming up short against the Clippers in a 103-97 loss on Thursday. Lonnie Walker led the team in scoring with 26 points on nine of 21 shooting, Anthony Davis added 25 points with eight rebounds while LeBron James tallied 20 points with 10 rebounds and six assists. As a team, the Lakers shot just 35 percent from the field and a miserly nine of 45 from the 3-point line as they rallied back from an early 16-point deficit, only to go ice-cold in the second half where they managed just 41 points to allow the Clippers off the hook.
