San Jose Sharks at Philadelphia Flyers – 10/23/22 NHL Picks and Prediction

The San Jose Sharks and Philadelphia Flyers face off on Sunday in an NHL showdown at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. When these two teams faced off on January 8th it was the Sharks that secured the victory.

The Sharks come into this game with a 1-6-0 record overall and they are coming off a loss against the New York Devils on Saturday. The defense wasn’t bad giving up only two goals, but the offense wasn’t good enough scoring only a goal. The Sharks are averaging only 1.71 goals per game while the defense is giving up 3.29 goals per game. The defense hasn’t been great but the offense has been even worse, and they need to find a way to get the offense going in this game.

On the other side of this matchup is the Flyers who headed into Saturday’s game with a 3-1-0 record. On Wednesday the Flyers scored three goals, but the defense gave up four goals, which led to the defeat. Kevin Hayes had a nice game for the Flyers finishing with two assists and four shots on goal. The Flyers are averaging 3.5 goals per game while their defense is giving up 2.5 goals per game. The offense is middle of the road but the defense has been elite and is currently ranked 5th in the league.
