The Chicago Bulls play host to the Cleveland Cavaliers at the United Center on Saturday night.
The Cleveland Cavaliers will be eager to bounce back in this one after coming up painfully short to the Raptors in a 108-105 road loss on Wednesday. Donovan Mitchell led the way with 31 points and nine assists in his debut, Cedi Osman added 17 points on six of 12 shooting off the bench while Jarrett Allen chipped in with 13 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks. As a team, the Cavaliers shot 49 percent from the field and 10 of 28 from the 3-point line as they exploded for 35 points in the second quarter to take control of the contest, but they couldn’t find their offense in the fourth quarter and it cost them as the Raptors closed the final 4:42 on a 16-8 run to snatch the game from them in the end.
Meanwhile, the Chicago Bulls are in similar shape as they too are coming into this one fresh off a narrow loss after falling short against the Wizards in a 102-100 road loss last night. DeMar DeRozan led the team with 32 points, six rebounds and six assists, Nikola Vucevic added 24 points while Andre Drummond chipped in with 10 points and 10 rebounds off the bench. As a team, the Bulls shot just 41 percent from the field and seven of 27 from the 3-point line as they went back and forth with the Wizards in a tight contest, until Bradley Beal drained the leaning bank shot with just 7.4 seconds remaining to steal the game late.
