The Detroit Pistons invade the Gainbridge Fieldhouse to take on the Indiana Pacers on Saturday night.
The Detroit Pistons will be hoping to bounce back in this one after getting routed by the Knicks in a 130-106 road loss last night. Saddiq Bey led the team with 26 points on nine of 15 shooting, Bojan Bogdanovic added 18 points on seven of nine shooting, Jaden Ivey added 19 points with nine assists while Cade Cunningham chipped in with 15 points, eight rebounds and seven assists. As a team, the Pistons shot 43 percent from the field and just nine of 36 from the 3-point line, but their problems were on the defensive end as they just never gave themselves a chance after leaking 42 points in the second quarter to fall behind by 20 points going into halftime.
Meanwhile, the Indiana Pacers are still searching for their first win of the season after coming up short against the Spurs in a 137-134 loss last night. Tyrese Haliburton led the team with 27 points and 12 assists in just 27 minutes of action, Bennedict Mathurin added 26 points off the bench while Isaiah Jackson chipped in with 16 points in 16 minutes off the bench. As a team, the Pacers shot 49 percent from the field and 11 of 35 from the 3-point line as they got off to a sluggish start and trailed in this one by as many as 21 points before rallying with 49 points in the fourth quarter, but they just left themselves too much ground to make up.
