College football Week 8 best player prop bets — Pickswise

Just like that, we are already into Week 8 of the 2022 college football season. At the beginning of next month the first College Football Playoff rankings will come out and we can really start breaking down teams' National Championship prospects. Before we get ahead of ourselves, this weekend's slate is extremely intriguing with 5 all-top 25 showdowns – including a top-10 battle between UCLA and Oregon. In the SEC, especially big games will see Ole Miss pay a visit to LSU and Alabama host Mississippi State.

That Ole Miss-LSU matchup is included in my favorite player props. Let's take a look at them below, and be sure to check out all of our coverage on the college football page.

JT Daniels, QB, West Virginia Over 282.5 passing yards (-110)

Nothing screams “shootout” quite like a Big 12 contest between West Virginia and Texas Tech. The Red Raiders love throwing the ball 60-something times per game and the Mountaineers will be happy to play that kind of game. Daniels has forked up at least 37 passes in 4 of 6 games this season and has stayed below 30 attempts only once. The junior from Irvine, Calif. is coming off a 283-yard performance against Baylor and a threw for 365 yards against Kansas earlier this year. Texas Tech is allowing 7.4 yards per pass attempt and has given up 34, 37 and 41 points in its last three games against Texas, Kansas State and Oklahoma State, respectively. Cowboys quarterback Spencer Sanders torched the Red Raiders for 297 yards through the air last Saturday.

Jonathan Mingo, WR, Ole Miss Over 51.5 receiving yards (-115)
