San Antonio entered the season with low expectations after diving into the rebuilding process in the offseason. They blew open their offseason in late June when they traded All-Star point guard Dejounte Murray to Atlanta for Danilo Gallinari and three first-round picks. Small forward Keldon Johnson scored 20 points and completed his double-double with 11 rebounds in the loss. Johnson upped his 3-point percentage by 6.7% last year, knocking down 39.8% of his attempts. San Antonio also dealt Derrick White to Boston in February for some additional picks. The Spurs have the youngest roster in the NBA, which is a stark contrast from previous years under head coach Gregg Popovich.
