The Toronto pay a visit to the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center on Friday night.
The Toronto Raptors will be aiming for a second straight victory after sneaking past the Cavaliers in a 108-105 home win on Wednesday. Pascal Siakam led the team with 23 points and 11 rebounds, Gary Trent Jr. added 19 points, OG Anunoby scored 18 points while Scottie Barnes and Fred VanVleet each scored 15 points. As a team, the Raptors shot just 41 percent from the field and 13 of 30 from the 3-point line as they leaked 35 points in the second quarter and trailed by eight points before coming alive with a decisive 13-2 run in the fourth quarter to pull away and escape with the narrow victory.
Meanwhile, the Brooklyn Nets will be hoping for a better performance after getting embarrassed by the young Pelicans in a 130-108 home loss on Wednesday. Kevin Durant led the team with 32 points on 11 of 21 shooting, Patty Mills added 16 points off the bench while Kyrie Irving finished with just 15 points on six of 19 shooting. As a team, the Nets shot 44 percent from the field and 10 of 33 from the 3-point line but they managed just 14 points in the first quarter to fall behind early, before getting blown out in the third quarter where they allowed the Pelicans to pour in 40 points. Ben Simmons had a night to forget as he finished with just four points and five assists before fouling out in 23 minutes of action.
