The Indiana Pacers play host to the San Antonio Spurs at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Friday night.
The San Antonio Spurs will be hoping to bounce back after getting routed by the Hornets in a disappointing 129-102 home loss on Wednesday. Keldon Johnson led the team with 20 points, 11 rebounds and four assists, Jakob Poeltl and Tyus Jones each scored 14 points while Doug McDermott chipped in with 12 points in 16 minutes off the bench. As a team, the Spurs shot just 40 percent from the field and seven of 34 from the 3-point line as they came out flat and got blown out from the start as they trailed by 16 points in the first quarter and never made any ground.
Meanwhile, the Indiana Pacers will be looking to avoid a second straight home loss at coming up short against the Wizards in a 114-107 loss on Wednesday. Tyrese Haliburton led the team with 26 points and seven assists on 10 of 18 shooting, Jalen Smith and Buddy Hield each scored 16 points while Benedict Mathurin scored 19 points off the bench. As a team, the Pacers shot just 40 percent from the field and 15 of 42 from the 3-point line but they were always on the back foot after allowing the Wizards to explode for 36 points in the first quarter to fall behind by 18 points early.
