The Philadelphia Phillies and San Diego Padres face off on Wednesday in the NLDS at Petco Park.
These two teams started their series on Tuesday and the Phillies were able to secure the 2-0 victory. It was really a pitchers' duel the entire game and it was only two mistakes by Yu Darvish that led to the Phillies securing the win. Bryce Harper hit a home run in the 4th inning and Kyle Schwarber hit a home run in the 6th inning. Zach Wheeler went seven innings and gave up only one hit while Darvish went seven innings giving up three hits and two runs. Each team used two bullpen members. The Phillies finished with only three hits while the Padres finished with only one hit.
On the mound for the Phillies will be Aaron Nola and in the playoffs, he sits with a 2-0 record and an ERA of 0.00. In his last start against the Atlanta Braves, he went six innings giving up five hits and zero earned runs.
