St. Louis Blues vs. Seattle Kraken Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 10-19-2022

The St. Louis Blues face the Seattle Kraken with both teams looking to start the season strong. The Blues have only played one game in the season thus far and are coming off a big win while the Kraken have a 1-2-1 record to start the season. Both teams are looking to make noise in the Western Conference this season and the upcoming game should be a good one as a result.

The Blues are hoping to be one of the best teams in the Western Conference led by an offense that scored five goals in the opening night game. Vladimir Tarasenko and Pavel Buchnevich scored three goals and added an assist to lead the top line but the rest of the offense also stepped up. Brayden Schenn, Ivan Barbashev, and Jake Neighbours combined for two goals and two assists while defensemen Justin Faulk, Torey Krug, and Nick Leddy have added three assists from the blue line to help open up the offense.

The offense carried the Blues on the opening night but the defense also stepped up, allowing only two goals. Justin Faulk and Torey Krug have led the top pairing but the rest of the defense also stepped up with Nick Leddy, Robert Bortuzzo, and the rest of the defense forcing turnovers in the defensive zone and limiting shots on the net. Additionally, goaltender Jordan Binnington looks to build off a strong opening night where he saved 23 of the 25 shots he faced.
