The Memphis Grizzlies play host to the New York Knicks at the FedExForum on Wednesday night.
The New York Knicks will be looking to bounce back after a disappointing season that saw them miss out on another big signing in the offseason. Julius Randle led the team with averages of 20.1 points, 9.9 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game, RJ Barrett averaged 20.0 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game, Evan Fournier averaged 14.1 points and 2.1 assists per game, while Alec Burks averaged 11.7 points and 4.0 assists per game. As a team, the Knicks scored 106.5 points per game while shooting 43.7 percent from the field and 35.7 percent from the 3-point line. Jalen Brunson was the only significant addition for the Knicks and they will be hoping he can build on his breakout season.
Meanwhile, the Memphis Grizzlies will be looking to take another step in the right direction after staking their claim with a memorable playoffs performance last season. Ja Morant led the team with averages of 27.4 points, 5.7 rebounds and 6.7 assists in his 57 games, Dillon Brooks averaged 18.4 points in his 32 games, Desmond Bane averaged 18.2 points per game while Jaren Jackson Jr. averaged 16.3 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. As a team, the Grizzlies scored 115.6 points per game while shooting 46.1 percent from the field and 35.3 percent from the 3-point line.
