ACC foes meet when the Louisville Cardinals (3-3) and the Pittsburgh Panthers (4-2) play on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Cardinal Stadium.

The Cardinals enter the matchup after winning 34-17 over the Virginia Cavaliers in their last game on October 8. The Panthers are coming off of a 45-29 win over the Virginia Tech Hokies. Against the Cavaliers, Brock Domann led the Cards with 275 yards on 17-of-30 passing (56.7%) for one touchdown and two interceptions. He also carried the ball nine times for 71 yards and one rushing touchdown. Trevion Cooley took 18 carries for 77 yards (4.3 yards per carry) and one touchdown. Tyler Hudson led the receiving charge against the Cavaliers, catching seven passes for 101 yards. Kedon Slovis’ showing for the Panthers against the Hokies included 15-of-28 passing for 170 yards, no touchdowns and one interception. In that matchup, Israel Abanikanda had a 36-carry, 320-yard game (8.9 yards per attempt) with six touchdowns. Jaden Bradley caught five passes for 66 yards (13.2 yards per catch).

The Cardinals are the favorite (-1.5) in a projected close matchup with the Panthers. The total is set at 54 points.
