The Ball State Cardinals (4-3) and the Eastern Michigan Eagles (4-3) square off on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Scheumann Stadium in a battle of MAC opponents.
In their last game, the Cardinals won 25-21 over the UConn Huskies. The Eagles’ last game was a 39-10 loss to the Northern Illinois Huskies. John Paddock threw for 147 yards, with no touchdowns and one interception on 19-of-39 passing (48.7%) for the Cardinals in that matchup against the Huskies. Carson Steele totaled 179 rushing yards on 32 carries (5.6 yards per carry), scoring three touchdowns on the ground. Jayshon Jackson led the receiving charge against the Huskies, catching eight passes for 71 yards. Taylor Powell’s showing for the Eagles against the Huskies included 11-of-23 passing for 197 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Jaylon Jackson carried the ball 16 times for 60 yards (3.8 yards per attempt). In the passing game, he added two catches for 48 yards. Andreas Paaske recorded one catch for 75 yards (on one target), with one touchdown.
