The Rutgers Scarlet Knights (3-3) and the Indiana Hoosiers (3-4) square off on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at SHI Stadium in a clash of Big Ten opponents.
The Scarlet Knights were beaten by the Nebraska Cornhuskers 14-13 in their last outing. The Hoosiers’ last game finished in a 38-33 loss to the Maryland Terrapins. Against the Cornhuskers, Noah Vedral led the Scarlet Knights with 133 yards on 6-of-15 passing (40.0%) for no touchdowns and no interceptions. He also carried the ball seven times for 27 yards and one rushing touchdown. Samuel Brown V took 16 carries for 63 yards (3.9 yards per carry), while adding one reception for nine yards in the passing game. Shameen Jones led the receiving charge against the Cornhuskers, catching two passes for 76 yards. Connor Bazelak’s showing for the Hoosiers against the Terrapins included 29-of-42 passing for 292 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. Shaun Shivers put together a 14-carry, 32-yard game (2.3 yards per attempt), while also adding two receptions for 10 yards . Emery Simmons caught six passes for 99 yards (16.5 yards per catch).
The Hoosiers are 3-point underdogs against the Scarlet Knights (the game has a total of 45.5 points).
