The Cleveland Guardians and New York Yankees face off on Tuesday in a winner take all Game 5 of the ALDS at Yankee Stadium.
The Yankees had their backs against the wall, but they were able to secure a 4-2 victory on Sunday to secure the victory. At the end of the season inning, the Yankees were up 3-0, and they were able to hold on late to force Game 5. Anthony Rizzo had a nice game, finishing with two hits and one RBI. Harrison Bader also finished one hit, one run, and two RBIs. The Guardians were led by Josh Naylor, who hit a home run. In Game 3 the Yankees blew the game in the 9th inning, but Wandy Peralta locked down in the 9th inning, and now the series returns to New York.
Getting the start for the Guardians will be Aaron Civale, and he sits with a 5-6 record and an ERA of 4.92. His last appearance came on October 5th against the Kansas City Royals, and he went six innings, giving up five hits and two runs.
