New Orleans will try to bounce back from a loss to Cincinnati when it travels to Arizona on Thursday night. The Saints have lost four of their last five games and could be without their starting quarterback again this week. Arizona is on a two-game losing streak following a 19-9 loss at Seattle last week.
New Orleans opened the season with a 27-26 win at Atlanta, but it has proceeded to lose four of its next five games. The Saints are coming off a 30-26 loss to Cincinnati last week, despite taking a 23-14 lead midway through the third quarter. They allowed nine consecutive points in the final four minutes of the game, including a game-winning touchdown pass from Joe Burrow to Ja’Marr Chase with 1:57 remaining. New Orleans was playing without starting quarterback Jameis Winston for the third straight game. Backup Andy Dalton completed 17 of 32 passes for 162 yards and one touchdown in the loss to Cincinnati.

Winston is listed as questionable to return from his back injury on Thursday night. The Saints are dealing with several other key injuries as well, including wide receivers Jarvis Landry and Michael Thomas, who are both expected to miss this game, according to NOLA.com’s Jeff Duncan. Rookie wide receiver Chris Olave has passed all the steps in concussion protocol, but he still has to be cleared by an independent neurologist. The Saints have been a strong offensive team, ranked seventh in the NFL in yards per game (382.3). Running back Alvin Kamara has 302 rushing yards, averaging 4.6 yards per carry. Olave has been the team’s leading receiver, catching 25 passes for 389 yards and two touchdowns. They are facing an Arizona defense that is No. 12, allowing 337.3 yards per game.
