The Minnesota Golden Gophers continue a conference road trip this week as they travel to University Park, PA to take on the number 16 ranked Penn State Nittany Lions. Minnesota comes into this week 4-2 on the year riding a two game losing streak after a 12 point loss in Illinois. Offensively Minnesota was abysmal totaling only 180 yards to score 14 points in the game but were shut out in two quarters and turned the ball over three times leading to the loss.

Quarterback Tanner Morgan continued to struggle completing only four of 12 passes for 21 yards and ran the ball six times for 23 yards and one score as well. Mohamed Ibrahim was the biggest bright spot in the Minnesota offense with 127 yards and one touchdown on 15 carries.

The Penn State Nittany Lions return home this week following their first loss of the season to the Michigan Wolverines. Defensively Penn State was obliterated as Michigan totaled 563 yards of offense including 400+ on the ground to score 41 points in the game.
