The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (3-3) host an ACC showdown against the Virginia Cavaliers (2-4) on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Bobby Dodd Stadium at Historic Grant Field.
The Yellow Jackets beat the Duke Blue Devils 23-20 in their most recent outing. The Cavaliers are coming off of a loss to the Louisville Cardinals by the score of 34-17. In that matchup with the Blue Devils, Jeff Sims had 227 yards on 23-of-34 passing (67.6%) for the Ramblin’ Wreck, with two touchdowns and no interceptions. He also carried the ball 17 times for 95 yards. Hassan Hall carried the ball 17 times for 70 yards (4.1 yards per carry). He also had four receptions for six yards. Nate McCollum had 101 yards on eight catches (12.6 per reception) with one touchdown in that game. Brennan Armstrong threw for 313 yards for the Cavs against the Cardinals, going 24-for-34 (70.6%) with one touchdown and two interceptions. He added 14 carries for -7 yards and one touchdown. Xavier Brown put together a four-carry, seven-yard game (1.8 yards per attempt). Keytaon Thompson caught nine passes on 13 targets for 98 yards (10.9 yards per reception).
The Yellow Jackets are 3.5-point favorites in their matchup against the Cavaliers. The total is 45.5 points.
