After a scintillating Saturday of MLB playoff action, the San Diego Padres and Philadelphia Phillies are moving on to the NLCS and the Houston Astros are off to the ALCS for the sixth straight season. Will they be joined by the New York Yankees or Cleveland Guardians?
Last night, it looked like the Yankees would be playing to clinch tonight, as they led 5-3 entering the bottom of the ninth at Progressive Field.
But the Guardians scored three runs in the final frame, with Oscar Gonzalez driving in the tying and winning runs with a two-out, two-strike, two-run single to delive r a 6-5 win and a 2-1 lead for the home team.
So, tonight it will be Cleveland playing to clinch instead. Will we see another series end in four games, or will the last unfinished Division Series be the only one to go the maximum five games?
