Los Angeles Kings at Minnesota Wild – 10/15/22 NHL Picks and Prediction

The Los Angeles Kings and Minnesota Wild face off Saturday in an NHL showdown at the Xcel Energy Center.

The Wild opened up the season against the New York Rangers and they really struggled in that game. At the end of the first period, the Wild were down 3-0, and they never bounced back as they were defeated 7-3. Matt Boldy is still young, but if the first game is any indication he’s going to have a big season. Boldly finished the game with two goals and three shots on goal. Joel Eriksson Ek finished with eight shots on goal, but he didn’t find the back of the net or have any assists. Marc-Andre Fleury started in the first game, and he’s going to need to be better. He saved 28 of the 35 shots that he faced.

On the other side of this matchup is the Los Angeles Kings and they have lost each of their first two games. In Game 1 they lost to the Vegas Golden Knights 4-3 and n the last game they lost to the Seattle Kraken 4-1. At the end of the first period against the Kraken the game was tied 1-1, but they fell apart in the second and third period and that led to the defeat. Jonathan Quick only faced 21 shots in the last game, but he only made 18 saves and they need better goaltending in this game.
