The Nashville Predators (2-1, 2-1 PL, 0-3 O/U) take on the Dallas Stars (1-0, 1-0 PL, 0-1 O/U) in a divisional battle on Saturday night. The Predators are 2-1 after three games. The Stars collected 98 points in the Central division last year, finishing in fourth place. The Predators went 3-1 against the Stars last season and Dallas opened its season with a convincing 4-1 win against the Preds on Thursday night.

Nino Niederreiter was one of the Preds’ biggest off-season additions. The 30-year-old winger has logged several 20-goal seasons including 20 markers with the Hurricanes last year and already has three goals in three performances. The squad re-signed Filip Forsberg to a contract extension earlier this month. The 28-year-old recorded a career-best 84 points in only 69 games last season and is one of the more underrated players in the league. Forsberg was held pointless against the Stars on Thursday. Matt Duchene had a stellar 86-point season and has two points this season. Th e veteran center scored a career-high 43 goals last year.

The Predators will likely have Juuse Saros guard the cage in this game. The veteran netminder logged a 2.64 GAA and a .918 save % last year and feature a .917 save % in two games this season. Saros was in the net in Thursday's defeat. Nashville scored an average of 3.2 goals last season and has eight in three games this year. They allowed an average of 3 goals and have only conceded seven this season.
