The Atlanta Falcons (2-3) will host the San Fransico 49ers (3-2) on Sunday in an NFC match-up. The 49ers are a 5.5-point road favorite, and the total is 44.5.

The 49ers opened the season with a 19-10 loss as a 6.5-point road favorite against the Bears. In Week 2, starting quarterback Trey Lance was injured and replaced by Jimmy Garoppolo in a 27-7 win as an 8.5-point favorite against Seattle at home. After an ugly 11-10 road loss to the Broncos, the 49ers have looked good the last two weeks beating the Rams 24-9 and Panthers 37-15, improving to both 3-2 overall and against the spread.

San Francisco is 19th in total offense averaging 339 yards per game, led by a rushing attack that is eighth in the NFL racking up 138.8 yards per contest. The 49ers' offense is 13th picking up 5.7 yards per play. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is 21st in the NFL with a 41.3 QBR and has thrown five touchdowns against only interceptions.

The defense is what makes the 49ers a contender in the NFC as they rack first in total defense allowing 249.2 yards per game, first in rushing defense (71.4 ypg) , and third in passing defense (177.8 ypg). They are also tied with Buffalo for allowing an NFL-low 12.2 ppg. As great as the defense has been they are currently starting to see injuries pile up.
