The Carolina Hurricanes will be on the road Friday night for their second game of the season in San Jose against the San Jose Sharks. Carolina comes into Game 2 undefeated at 1-0 following a 4-1 win over Columbus in their opener. Frederik Andersen dominated in the net for Carolina posting a .969 save percentage after allowing only one goal on 32 shots in the full 60 minutes of game time.

Martin Necas led the way for the Carolina offense with one goal on two shots to go along with two assists in just under 18 minutes on the ice. Seth Jarvis, Andrei Svechnikov, and Brady Skjel chipped in for the Carolina offense as well with one goal each.

The San Jose Sharks will continue a homestand to open the season Friday night as they are 0-2 thus far after two consecutive losses to Nashville to start the season.
