Mississippi State comes into this game with a 5-1 record overall and the only loss came earlier in the season against LSU. In the last game against Arkansas the offense was good putting up 40 points, but even more impressive was the defense giving up only 17 points, and that led to the victory. Under center for Mississippi State is Will Rogers and in the last game, he completed 31 of his 48 passes for 395 yards and three touchdowns. Dillon Johnson finished with 17 carries for for 100 yards and two touchdowns. The Bulldogs are averaging 38.5 points while their defense is giving up 21 points per game.

On the other side of this matchup is the Kentucky Wildcats who sit with a 4-2 record overall and they have lost two games in a row. In the last game against South Carolina, the offense only managed 14 points, and that led to the defeat. Will Levis missed the last game with an injury but he is probable for this game. Under center for Kentucky in the last game was Kaiya Sheron and he completed 15 of his 27 passes for 178 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. If Levis can’t go, Sheron is going to need to have a strong game. Kentucky is averaging 26.3 points while their defense is giving up 16.3 points per game.
