The Alabama Crimson Tide and Tennessee Volunteers face off on Saturday in an SEC college football showdown at Neyland Stadium. When these tow teams faced off in 2021 it was Alabama that secured the 52-24 victory.
Alabama comes into this game with a 6-0 record but there are some concerns about if Bryce Young will be able to go in this game. In the last game against Texas A&M, Alabama didn’t look their best, but they were still able to secure the 24-20 victory. Under center for Alabama was Jalen Milroe and he completed 12 of his 19 passes for 111 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. Bryce Young is dealing with an AC joint sprain and if he can’t go it will be Milroe that gets the start again. Alabama on the season is averaging 44.3 points while their defense is giving up 12.5 points per game. The offense is ranked 5th in the league.
On the other side of this matchup is the Tennessee Volunteers who sit with a 5-0 record and they made a statement in the last game. Tennessee put up 40 points against LSU while the defense gave up only 13 points and that led to the 27-point victory. Hendon Hooker is under center for Tennessee and he completed 17 of his 27 passes for 239 yards and two touchdowns. Jabari Small has rushed 22 times for 127 yards and two touchdowns. Tennessee is averaging 46.8 points while their defense is giving up 17.8 points per game. The offense is ranked 2nd in college football.
