The Miami of Ohio Redhawks and Bowling Green Falcons face off on Saturday in a MAC college football showdown at Doyt Perry Stadium.
The Miami Redhawks come into this game with a 3-3 record overall and they have won two of their last three games. In the last game against Kent State, they almost blew the game late, but they held on for the 27-24 victory. Aveon Smith is under center for the Redhawks and against the Golden Flashes, he completed 9 of his 14 passes for 179 yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception. Kevin Davis had a nice game on the ground rushing eight times for 72 yards and a touchdown. Miami of Ohio is averaging 20.8 points while their defense is giving up 25.2 points per game.
On the other side of this matchup is the Bowling Green Falcons who sit with a 2-4 record overall and they are coming off another blowout loss in their last game. Bowling Green scored seven points, but their defense gave up 38 points, and it was an ugly defeat. Under center for Bowling Green is Matt McDonald and he completed 21 of his 42 passes for 281 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. Bowling Green had problems getting the running game going, and that needs to be improved upon. Bowling Green’s defense is giving up 41 points per game which is 129th in college football.
