While Duke has won the majority of the matchups in this rivalry, it's been all North Carolina over the last few decades. The Tar Heels have won 26 of their last 32 games against the Blue Devils, including each of the last three by a combined score of 114-48.
It's also hard to doubt the road team when UNC's offense is clicking. North Carolina averages 42.3 points (eighth) and 501 total yards per game. While Duke has a solid defense this season, the Blue Devils have given up 35-plus points in five of their last eight games against their ACC rivals.
North Carolina might not have a reliable defense, but the aforementioned offense might be too much for Duke to keep pace. The fact that the Blue Devils have also lost two of their last three games might also be a sign that they're trending down.
North Carolina has be aten Duke by at least 31 points in each of their last two meetings and while I don't expect that big of a difference this week, the Tar Heels should still win decisively. I'll take North Carolina at -7 on the spread as well as the under 66.5 total points.
