“We played really well in all three phases,” Utah State coach Blake Anderson said following the Air Force game. “With the exception of just a couple of mistakes along the way, played about as good as we could.” 

Cooper Legas has been under center for the Aggies in the last couple of weeks. Logan Bonner threw five interceptions against UNLV in Week 4 and suffered a season-ending lower-body injury, while Legas has tossed for 403 yards, four touchdowns, and three interceptions through his previous two starts. Last week, Legas posted 76 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries after recording 20 totes for 52 yards and a TD against BYU in Week 5. 

The Aggies are tallying 160.5 rushing yards per game (61st in the country) and 3.9 yards per carry (tied-85th). On the defensive side of things, Utah State ranks 34th in passing yards (199.0 per game) and 119th in rushing yards (201.0), though keep in mind that the Aggies have just met the Air Force Falcons’ powerful ground game.
