LA Dodgers vs San Diego Padres Analysis
The Padres stunned the Mets in the Wild Card round as San Diego’s offense and pitching staff appear to be clicking at the right time. The Dodgers have not played a meaningful baseball game in weeks, so it is fair to wonder if they are able to come out hot or if their long break will affect them. The Dodgers dominated the regular season series against the Padres, going 14-5 against their NL West rival.
The Padres went to New York and beat a 100-win Mets team in the first round of the playoffs in impressive fashion. San Diego was able to hit the Mets' aces as well as put on a pitching clinic in two of the three games. The Friars'went 46-36 on the road in the regular season, but they had trouble beating the Dodgers, so this series will be very interesting.
