Vegas Golden Knights at Los Angeles Kings – 10/11/22 NHL Picks and Prediction

The Vegas Golden Knights and Los Angeles Kings face off on Tuesday in an NHL showdown to kick off their season at Crypto.com Arena.

Last season was a disappointing season for Vegas finishing with 94 points but that wasn’t good enough to make the playoffs. Vegas wasn’t all that busy during the offseason and they lost some key pieces from last years team. Gone are Max Pacioretty, Mattias Janmark, Dylan  Coghlan, and Evgenii Dadonov. The big additions were Phil Kessel and Adin Hall. The big additions this offseason were Adin Hill and Phil Kessel. During the preseason the top line has included Jack Eichel, Reilly Smith, and Jack Eichel. If that line stays together they are going to need to be one of the top-scoring lines in the league if this is a team that wants to compete in the Western Conference. Logan Thompson is expected to get the start in goal in this game.

On the other side of this matchup is the Los Angeles Kings who finished last season with 99 points but they were knocked out in the first round. The Kings also weren’t busy during the offseason, but they did make a big signing. Forward Kevin Fiala is going to make this offense a whole lot better, and he’s going to be leaned on heavily in this game. The Kings did lose some key players including Dustin Brown and Olli Matta, who will both be missed. Phillip Danault took a big step forward from last year and is going to need to continue the success here. Jonathan Quick is expected to start in goal.
