The Philadelphia Phillies and St. Louis Cardinals face off on Saturday in Game 2 of their National League Wild Card showdown at Busch Stadium.,

On Friday it was the Phillies that were able to secure the 6-3 victory. There were no runs scored until the 7th inning when the Phillies jumped out to a 2-0 lead. It looked like the Cardinals might pick up the win, but the Phillies scored six runs in the top of the 9th to take the lead. The Cardinals scored one run in the bottom of the 9th, but it wasn’t enough as they were defeated. Jean Segura was the top player for the Phillies finishing with one hit and driving in two RBIs. Four different players drove in a run. Juan Yepez was the top player for the Cardinals finishing with one hit and two RBIs. Nolan Gorman also finished with one hit and one RBI. It was Ryan Heasley that blew the game for the Cardinals giving up four earned runs in one inning. 

On the mound for the Phillies will be Aaron Nola who finished with the regular season with an 11-13 record and an ERA of 3.25. In his last start against the Houston Astros he went 6.2 innings giving up two hits and zero runs.
