Air Force at Utah State – 10/8/22 College Football Picks and Prediction

The Air Force Falcons and Utah State Aggies face off on Saturday in a Mountain West college football showdown at Maverik Stadium. Last season it was Utah State that were able to secure a 49-45 victory.

Air Force comes into this game with a 4-1 record overall and they have been in a couple of close games. In the last game against the Navy Midshipmen they played down to the competition a bit but they were still able to win 13-10. They jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the first quarter, but they only scored three points the rest of the game. Under center for Air Force is Haaziq Daniels and he completed 6 of his 8 passes for 156 yards and a touchdown. Air Force is averaging 32.8 points while their defense is giving up 14.8 points per game. In this game, the offense needs to get back on the right track.

On the other side of this matchup is Utah State Aggies who sit with a 1-4 record but in the last game against BYU, they at least keep it close. The offense scored 26 points and that was enough to only lose by 12 points. Under center for Utah State is Cooper Legas and in the last game, he completed 19 of his 31 passes for 188 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions. That was one of their better offensive showings this season, and they are going to need the offense to be good in this game. Utah State is averaging 17.6 points while their defense is giving up 36.4 points per game.
