Tulsa at Navy – 10/8/22 College Football Picks and Prediction

The Tulsa Golden Hurricane and Navy Midshipmen face off on Saturday in a college football showdown at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. In 2021 it was Navy that secured the 20-17 victory.

Tulsa comes into this game with a 2-2 record overall and the last game was a disappointing loss against the Cincinnati Bearcats. At halftime, they were down 24-10 and they never bounced back and ended up losing by 10 points. Under center is Davis Brin and he completed 18 of his 36 passes for 237 yards, zero touchdowns, and two interceptions. In this game, they can’t have Brin with the turnovers. Tulsa is averaging 35.4 points while their defense is giving up 31.6 points per game. The defense is ranked 105th in the league, and in this game they are going to need to step up the run.

On the other side of this matchup is Navy who sit with a 1-3 record but they are coming off a game against Air Force that they almost pulled off the upset. Navy only gave up 13 points but the offense only scored 10 points, and they need the offense to be better in this game. Navy is a run first team but the top rusher only had 34 yards, and the offense is going to need to be a lot better in this game. Navy on the season is averaging 13.3 points while their defense is giving up 21 points per game. The defense is good, but the offense is going to find a way to get rolling in this game.
