Texas at Oklahoma – 10/8/22 College Football Picks and Prediction

The Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners face off on Saturday in a Week 6 college football in the Red River Rivalry at the CottonBowl

Texas comes into this game with a 3-2 record overall and this has been mostly been a disappointing year. In the last game against West Virginia though, Texas scored 38 points and that was enough to win by 18 points. Hudson Card completed 21 of his 27 passes for 303 yards and three touchdowns. The big question heading into this game is who will be under center for Longhorns. Quinn Ewers is still working his way back from injury, but there is a chance he could go in this game. Texas is averaging 36.8 points while their defense is giving up 21.4 points per game.

On the other side of this matchup is the Sooners who sit with a 3-2 record and they have lost two games in a row. In the last game against the TCU Horned Frogs, Oklahoma gave up 55 points and that led to the 31-point defeat. Starting quarterback Dillon Gabriel left the last game with a head injury and it’s unclear if he’s going to be able to go in this game. If he can’t go it will be Davis Beville who starts and in the last game he completed 7 of his 16 passes for 50 yards but couldn’t find the end zone. Oklahoma is averaging 31 points while their defense is giving up 25.2 points per game.
