The Florida State Seminoles and NC State Wolfpack face off on Saturday in an ACC college football showdown at Carter-Finlay Stadium. In 2021 it was NC State that secured the 28-14 victory.
Florida State comes into this game with a 4-1 record overall but the one loss came in their last game against Wake Forest. The offense scored 21 points, but the defense gave up 31 points and that led to the 10-point defeat. Even though they lost, Florida State has a star under center with Jordan Travis. In the last game, Travis completed 21 of his 35 passes for 281 yards and three touchdowns. Treshaun Wood also had a big game on the ground rushing 13 times for 87 yards. Florida State is averaging 34.2 points while their defense is giving up 21.2 points per game.
On the other side of this matchup is the NC State Wolfpack who sit with a 4-1 record overall but they are also coming off a loss in their last game. NC State scored 20 points against Clemson, but the defense gave up 30 points, and that led to the defeat. Devin Leary completed 28 of his 47 passes for 245 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. Thayer Thomas also caught nine passes for 84 yards. NC State on the season is averaging 32.8 points while their defense is giving up 15.4 points per game. This has been a strong defense outside of the game against Clemson where they gave up 30 points.
