Colorado State at Nevada – 10/7/22 College Football Picks and Prediction

The Colorado State Rams and Nevada Wolfpack face off on Friday in a Week 6 college football showdown at Mackay Stadium. When these two teams faced off in 2021 it was Nevada that secured the 52-10 victory.

Colorado State comes into this game with an 0-4 record and they look like they might be the worst team in college football. Colorado State’s last game came against Sacramento State and the defense gave up 41 points on the way to the defeat. The only 10 points were scored during the second quarter, and this is a team that struggles to move the ball. Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi completed 6 of his 15 passes for 116 yards and a touchdown. Clay Millen also completed 7 of his 7 passes for 62 yards. Colorado State is averaging 10.8 points while their defense is giving up 41 points per game. If they want any chance to get the job done, Colorado State needs to find a way to get the offense going here.

On the other side of this matchup is Nevada who sits with a 2-3 record overall and they are coming off a loss in their last game. Against Air Force, the defense gave up 48 points and that led to the 28 point defeat. At halftime they were down 24-7 and they couldn’t ever rebound. Under center for Nevada is Nate Cox and in the last game, he completed 12 of his 20 passes for 130 yards. Toa Taua rushed seven times for 73 yards and two touchdowns. Nevada is averaging 24.4 points while their defense is giving up 31.2 points per game. Nevada has had a week off, and anything else than a blowout victory in this game would be a major disappointment.
