The Houston Astros (105-56) will host the Philadelphia Phillies (87-74) Wednesday on the final day of the regular season. The Phillies took Monday's series opener 3-0, and the Astros took Tuesday's game 10-0.
Both of these teams will be participating in the postseason going forward.
The Philadelphia Phillies have clinched a wild card berth, and their first round destination will be St. Louis Cardinals to face the Cardinals for a best-of-three series, where the Phillies would play entirely on the road.

On Tuesday, the Phillies won their third straight game getting 6.2 shutout innings from Aaron Nola. Offensively, Kyle Schwarber hit two solo home runs in the win giving him 46 on the season, and Bryson Scott also hit his 10th home run of the year. The winning streak ended on Wednesday as the Phillies only managed three hit, which all game in the ninth inning of their ten run loss.
Bailey Falter (6-4, 3.90 ERA) will start the season finale. During nine road appearances he has gone 3-1 with a 2.47 ERA.
