Utah Utes (4-1) vs. UCLA Bruins (5-0)

The 2022 college football season goes on Saturday, October 8, with Week 6 showdown from Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, so we bring you the best Utah vs. UCLA betting pick and odds, as the Utes aim for their sixth consecutive victory over the Bruins.

Last year, Utah hammered UCLA 44-24 as a 6.5-point home fave with a total of 60.5 points. The Utes are 4.5-point road favorites this time around, while the totals are listed at 65.0 points.

The No. 11 Utah Utes are rolling on a four-game winning streak following a 42-16 thrashing of the Oregon State Beavers in Week 5. It was their fourth consecutive ATS victory, too, as the Utes easily covered a 10.5-point spread in front of the home fans. Utah won the turnover battle 4-0 while holding the Beavers to one field goal in the second half.

Junior QB Cameron Rising led the way for the Utes, completing 19 of his 25 passing attempts for 199 yards and three touchdowns. He also had seven carries for 73 yards and a TD. The Utes posted 31 totes for 162 yards (5.2 per carry), while sophomore Devaughn Vele posted seven receptions for 94 yards and a touchdown.

“I am pleased with the way our guys responded in the second half. We didn't play poorly in the first half, but it was n't our best football,” Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham said. “We were way too soft in the run game in the first half, but we buckled down and played better-run defense in the second half. The offense did a great job of protecting the football and taking care of the football. Cameron [Rising] made a bunch of timely plays and was extremely accurate, but we didn't throw for as many yards as I originally thought we did, and we really had some clutch catches. Devaughn Vele had a good day.”

Through the first five weeks of the 2022 CFB season, Cameron Rising has thrown for 1,153 yards, 13 touchdowns, and a couple of interceptions. Devaughn Vele has 21 catches for 269 yards and three touchdowns, while junior RB Tavion Thomas has recorded 67 totes for 295 yards and four scores.

The Utes are scoring 42.0 points per game (11th in the nation) on 250.2 passing yards (63rd) and 203.4 rushing yards (25th). They are surrendering 14.4 points in a return (tied-12th) on 155.4 passing yards (9th) and 123.2 rushing yards (47th).
