The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers (5-0) face a fellow Sun Belt foe when they visit the UL Monroe Warhawks (2-3) on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at JPS Field at Malone Stadium.
In their most recent outing, the Chanticleers won 34-30 over the Georgia Southern Eagles. The Warhawks’ last outing finished in a 45-28 loss to the Arkansas State Red Wolves. Grayson McCall threw for 335 yards, with three touchdowns and no interceptions on 23-of-34 passing (67.6%) for the Chanticleers in that matchup against the Eagles. He also added 10 carries for 34 yards and one rushing touchdown. CJ Beasley rushed for 64 yards on 12 carries (5.3 yards per carry) and one touchdown, adding two receptions for 15 yards. Jared Brown led the receiving charge against the Eagles, catching five passes for 139 yards and one touchdown. Chandler Rogers went 12-for-20 with 138 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions for the Warhawks against the Red Wolves. He also rushed 13 times for 57 yards and one touchdown. Malik Jackson carried the ball 16 times for 89 yards (5.6 yards per attempt) with one touchdown. In the passing game, he added three catches for nine yards. Alred Luke caug ht two passes on three targets for 66 yards (33.0 yards per reception), and scored one touchdown.
The Chanticleers are the favorite (-14) in an expected one-sided game with the Warhawks. The total is set at 58 points.
