The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs (1-3) and the UTEP Miners (3-3) play on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Joe Aillet Stadium in a battle of C-USA opponents.
The Bulldogs were beaten by the South Alabama Jaguars 38-14 in their last outing. The Miners are coming off of a victory over the Charlotte 49ers by the score of 41-35. Parker McNeil threw for 251 yards, with two touchdowns and four interceptions on 19-of-34 passing (55.9%) for the Bulldogs in that matchup against the Jaguars. Greg Garner took seven carries for 51 yards (7.3 yards per carry). Tre Harris had 85 yards on six catches (14.2 per reception) in that game. Gavin Hardison put up 173 passing yards while going 10-for-14 with three touchdowns and no interceptions for the Miners against the 49ers. He added five carries for 50 yards. Deion Hankins carried the ball 20 times for 112 yards (5.6 yards per attempt). In the passing game, he added one catch for four yards. Tyrin Smith recorded four catches for 106 yards (on four targets), with two touchdowns.
The Bulldogs are favorites (-3) against the Miners. The total is set at 52.5 points.
