The Liberty Flames (4-1) and the UMass Minutemen (1-4) square off on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Warren McGuirk Alumni Stadium in a battle of FBS Independent opponents.

The Flames faced the Old Dominion Monarchs in their most recent game, winning 38-24. The Minutemen are coming off of a 20-13 loss to the Eastern Michigan Eagles. Gino Campiotti’s performance for the Minutemen against the Eagles included 8-of-18 passing for 87 yards, no touchdowns and one interception. He rushed 25 times for 118 yards and one touchdown. In that matchup, Kay’Ron Adams had a 15-carry, 37-yard game (2.5 yards per attempt). George Johnson recorded four catches for 66 yards (on seven targets).

The Minutemen are massive, 24.5-point underdogs in their matchup against the Flames (the game’s total is 50.5 points).
