The Western Michigan Broncos (2-3) and the Eastern Michigan Eagles (3-2) square off on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Waldo Stadium in a battle of MAC foes.

The Broncos head into the matchup after winning 44-7 over the New Hampshire Wildcats in their last game on October 1. The Eagles are coming off of a 20-13 win over the UMass Minutemen. Jack Salopek had 252 yards on 13-of-23 passing (56.5%) for the Broncos in that matchup against the Wildcats, with three touchdowns and one interception. He also added four carries for 28 yards. La’Darius Jefferson ran for 36 yards on six carries (6.0 yards per carry) and one touchdown, adding two receptions for 38 yards. Corey Crooms had 109 yards on five catches (21.8 per reception) with one touchdown in that game. Austin Smith went 13-for-24 with 122 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions for the Eagles against the Minutemen. He also rushed 10 times for 33 yards. Samson Evans carried the ball 16 times for 122 yards (7.6 yards per attempt). Tanner Knue caught five passes for 72 yards (14.4 yards per catch), scoring one touchdown.

The Broncos are favored (-5) over the Eagles. The total is set at 57.5 points.
