Toronto Blue Jays vs Detroit Tigers Analysis
The Detroit Tigers head north of the border to begin a four game series with the Toronto Blue Jays on Thursday evening. The Blue Jays split two home games with t he St. Louis Cardinals to open their six game home stand.
The Tigers pulled off a 2-1 series victory at home against the San Diego Padres. Yusei Kikuchi will return from the 15 day IL to start for Toronto, while the southpaw Tyler Alexander will serve as the opener for Detroit. First pitch is scheduled for 7:07 PM EST/4:07 PST.
The Detroit Tigers continue to perform horribly at the plate as they rank dead last in runs scored and second to last in OPS. They don’t hit for power and can’t manufacture runs which puts tremendous pressure on the pitching staff.
