The Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds face off on Tuesday in an MLB showdown at the Great American Ballpark. On Monday it was the Reds that were able to secure the 3-1 victory.
The Cubs come into this game with 73-87 record overall and on Monday it was again the offense that wasn’t good enough scoring only one run. The Cubs on the season are averaging only four runs per game which is 23rd in the league. Ian Happ has had a big season for the Cubs hitting 17 home runs and driving in 72 RBIs so far this season.
On the other side of this matchup is the Reds who sit with a 61-99 record overall and they had lost three games against the Cubs before securing the win on Monday. The Reds over the last four games has scored only six runs total, and they need to find a way to get the offense going here. The pitching was good on Monday, but they can’t expect they will find the success here with the pitching.
