Colorado Rockies vs. Los Angeles Dodgers Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 10-4-2022

Colorado Rockies (66-93) vs. Los Angeles Dodgers (110-49)

Tuesday’s MLB betting action brings the NL West battle from Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles with the first pitch at 10:10 PM ET. Colorado and LA continue their six-game series in California with Game 5, and the Dodgers are listed as heavy -350 moneyline favorites with a total of 8.0 runs.

Game 4 of this set has been excluded from the analysis. Back on Sunday, the Rockies beat the Blue Crew 4-1 as +220 underdogs to grab their sixth victory over LA in 2022.

The Colorado Rockies put an end to a seven-game losing streak with Sunday’s 4-1 victory at Dodger Stadium. German Marquez fanned eight across six innings of a one-run, one-hit ball, while Daniel Bard recorded a six-out save. It was a rare strong performance from the Rockies’ pitching staff, and Marquez improved his record to 9-13 for the season while lowering his ERA to 5.00.

Colorado’s bullpen has been awful in the last ten days and 31.2 innings of work, tallying a 7.96 ERA and .363 opposing BABIP. The Rockies haven’t impressed at the plate either, slashing .250/.305/.395 with 11 home runs and 26 extra-base hits through their previous 448 at-bats.

Ryan Feltner will get the starting call Tuesday and meet the Dodgers for the second time in 2022. He tossed 3.1 scoreless frames in relief in a no-decision against Los Angeles at Coors Field on July 29. Since then, Feltner has registered a miserable 6.29 ERA and 4.99 FIP in 11 starts and 54.1 innings pitched. The 26-year-old right-hander went 1-3 with a 6.66 ERA in September and sits at 3-9 with a 6.01 ERA and 1.43 WHIP for the season (18 starts, one relief app, 91.1 IP).
