MLB Sunday parlay at mega (+1306) odds today 10/2 — Pickswise

We are wrapping up the last full week of the 2022 Major League Baseball season with a 15-game slate on Sunday. It includes an absolutely crucial National League East showdown between the New York Mets and Atlanta Braves, which is obviously getting ESPN Sunday Night Baseball treatment.

For this parlay we are going with two favorites on the run line and one underdog on the money line pick. Let's break down each of the legs.

Miami Marlins ML over Milwaukee Brewers (+145)

The Brewers blew yet another late lead to the Marlins last night, as closer Devin Williams surrendered a go-ahead, 2-run single in the 9th inning. Milwaukee sits 1 game back of the Phillies for the final Wild Card spot in the National League, and need to win to boost their chances of overtaking that final spot — but it is evident that the pressure is getting to them as the season comes to a close. The Marlins have nothing to play for but that lack of pressure is evident on the playing field, as they look much more loose on the mound and at the plate. Milwaukee faced two tough hard-throwing Miami pitchers over the past two nights in Sandy Alcantara and Edward Cabrera, and will run into another sneaky good pitcher today in Pablo Lopez.

Lopez may not throw as hard as his teammates from the previous games, but he has a respectable 3.90 ERA and 3.77 FIP — relying on weak contact to navigate through an opposing lineup. Opposing Lopez will be Freddy Peralta for the Brewers, who will likely serve as the opener for a bullpen game. Peralta is the pitcher who surrendered the go-ahead grand slam to Avisail Garcia in the 8th inning on Thursday night, so he may only be asked to go a few innings. Miami looks like the better and more relaxed team.
