The Presidents Cup goes to the United States, and now the PGA Tour resumes its stroke play schedule with the 2022 Sanderson Farms Championship. The 7,461-yard par 72 layout at The Country Club of Jackson in Mississippi will produce low scores again with each of the last seven winners posting a score of 270 or better (at least 18 under par).
Sanderson Farms Championship Dark Horse Picks 2022
Beyond the leading favorites and top-ranked golfers with the shortest odds to win, there are plenty of other players and dark horses who offer some value as capable contenders.

1. Seamu s Power (+3700)
Seamus Power ranks top-5 in this field during his last 36 rounds in Strokes Gained: Total with Short Game and Around the Green strength. He missed the cut here last year but does have a pair of top-20 finishes in the event. The 35-year-old Irishman possesses one of the better short wedge games in this field on approach shots from 100-125 yards, which will help him make more birdies where low scores are prevalent.
2. Trey Mullinax (+4100)
Mullinax leads this field in Strokes Gained: Total over his last 24 rounds with strength in Ball Striking and especially Tee-to-Green play during the FedEx Cup Playoffs, when he finished 5th and 12th in two events. He also ranks top-10 in this field in Birdies or Better Gained. With a T-4 finish in this event last year, the big-hitting 30-year-old Alabama golfer could find his groove again with the larger, receptive and true Bermuda greens allowing his less-than-accurate tee shots to be less penal on approach shots.
3. Mark Hubbard (+9000)
Hubbard has some success on comp courses to The Country Club of Jackson, and the 33-year-old has the best combined approach play in this field over his last 36 rounds from 100-125 and 150-175 yards. Hubbard finished T-21 in the recent PGA Tour event (Fortinet) after a poor final round, and that' s a similar comp course with narrower fairways. His putting was much better as well, and his Tee-to-Green stats and game are also much better since July.
